Comprehensive Foresight Training

Foresight Comprehensive Training

“The Future is plural.” It would be dishonest to claim that you can predict the one future. However, because decisions made by decision-makers relate exclusively to the future, it makes sense to reduce the degree of uncertainty about the future as much as possible. In this training, the practical application of Structured Analytic Techniques (SATs) for generating drivers, scenarios and indicators is taught using a topic relevant to your organization.

The development of scenarios enables decision-makers to deal with possible pathways of development. This not only reduces the element of surprise in these developments, but also enables procedures and strategies to be derived. These can be aimed at accelerating, slowing down or preventing the materialization of a particular scenario. In this way, your department can provide valuable insights for the management level.

If scenarios are then combined with indicators, it is possible to track the direction in which the present is developing. This makes it possible to adapt procedures and strategies.

In addition to this classic scenario planning or scenario thinking approach, there are other approaches: forecasts and horizon scanning. This comprehensive training course examines all these methodological approaches.
